Rules to follow for the Videos
- Collaboration page on a topic
http://0.0.0.0:3000/users/sihttp://0.0.0.0:3000/users/sign_ingn_in
- at least 3 videos in the collab page
- individual videos are about 5 mins long
- Add 4-5 questions at various points.
- Add at least 1-2 note with images and content. Not more than 4 notes.
- Do not add more than 7 events. If you want to add more Q or notes add it in a single location to limit total events to 7-8 for a 5 min video.
Template-0: Science Behind Examples of Concept
- Pick a Concept: Doppler Effect
- Find Three Examples of Concept (e.g. Doppler Effect)
- Moon Landing
- Submarines
- Police Radar Guns
- Pick the Title of the video:
- (Main) Science Behind Moon Landing, Submarines, and Police Radar Guns
- (Alternate) What is common between Moon landing, Submarines, and Police Radar guns
- Steps to create video:
- Find a video of example (e.g. Moon Landing)
- Add a note to explain how concept (e.g. Doppler effect) was used in example (e.g. Moon Landing)
- e.g. Doppler effect was used to find the distance between the shuttle and the moon surface to enable a precise landing
- Make sure that your note has Audio in it
- Repeat step 1-2 for remaining examples (Submarines, Police Radar Guns)
- Now add note : Do you want to learn more about concept? (e.g. Doppler Effect)
- Add a video that explains the concept (e.g. Doppler effect)
- Add questions in the middle of this video to test understanding
- Now test the students understanding of the concept (e.g. Doppler effect)
- Option 1: State a problem from a test that uses the concept and then walk through to the solution
- Option 2: add more examples of concept (e.g. Doppler effect) and then ask students to explain how concept (e.g. doppler effect) was used
- Option 3: ask students to find examples of Doppler Effect by cutting out clips from various places in YouTube
Template-1: Practical use in daily life
- Some funny example of the topic to start with.
- Explain the Theory/Concept behind the topic
- Explain the practical use of that topic in daily life
- Explain the formulas/math related to the topic
Example: Doppler Effect and practical use of it in Police Laser Guns. https://razor.sublimeai.com/collabs/5f31b85ba7cea11d59904ce4
- Sheldon funny version of Doppler effect.
- Video explaining Doppler effect.
- Video explaining the practical use of Doppler effect in a police laser gun.
- video explaining the math behind formula of Doppler effect and how it is used to calculate the speed of a card
Template-2: video conversion from existing excel source (map subject, grade, modify questions, add formula or examples)
- Pick the YouTube link from excel,
- Open the video in YouTube to validate (some videos are removed, locked, etc)
- Now copy the link and open the video in Razor
- Map the video to the right subject and grade. Research quickly to find the Grade & Subject when the topic is taught (a google search with give you the answer)
- Go to question/notes tab
- Add interactions (q, notes etc) at the specific time indicated in the excel
- Modify the questions slightly or come up with your own question on that topic
- For notes add multiple images to make it like a slide show. Add a note close to the end with 1-3 examples of the concept or formula related to the topic (just to separate it out more). Say the video is about Heat transfers (conduction, convection, radiation) then you can create a note with some examples of this topic (kettle boiling, water currents, solar panel, etc) or explain the formula of Q=c×m×ΔT , Where, Q = Heat supplied to the system, m = mass of the system, c = Specific heat capacity of the system and ΔT = Change in temperature of the system.
- Give a new name to the Video. Add Grade and Subject (Heat transfer to Learn Heat transfer for Grade 6, Physics).
- Save this information to an excel: grade, subject, topic, title of the video, razor art link
Template-3: Examples of a Topic : List topics (top 5 ..)
- Some funny/interesting example of the topic to start with.
- Explain the Theory behind the topic
- Give several examples of the topics
- Explain the formulas/math related to the topic
Example: Kinetic and Potential energies and various types of Kinetic and Potential energies. https://razor.sublimeai.com/collabs/5f34b715a7cea11d59904e27
- Funny video of a man falling
- Theory explaining kinetic and potential energy
- 5 examples of potential and kinectic energy
- The math behind kinetic and potential enery with an example
Template-4: Trailer Videos
